CBS and Viacom have released a brand new poster for Star Trek Discovery.

Yesterday I posted a link to the trailer.

The poster continues a fascinating tease to the character ‎Sonequa Martin-Green plays on the series.

What we previous knew was her character would be the Number One to the Captain of the Federation Starship USS Discovery.

Then shortly after her role on The Walking Dead ended with the tragic death of Sasha, we learned Martin-Green would be playing First Officer Michael Burnham.

However, the new trailer seems to suggest there is more to Burnham than meets the eye.

We are given a brief glimpse of a baby whom we assume is a newborn Michael Burnham.

Furthermore, dialogue from James Frain‘s Sarek hints that Burnham might share a Vulcan heritage.

The poster featuring the Vulcan salute so prominently, supports that conclusion.

Time will tell. Star Trek Discovery debuts this fall on CBS All-Access with 15 episodes — up from the previously announced 13.

CBS has also given us our first peek at The Big Bang Theory prequel series, Young Sheldon.

Young Sheldon – First Look

The series stars Iain Armitage as a 9 year-old  Sheldon Cooper navigating life as a progeny in 1989 East Texas.

The series also stars Zoe Perry as Sheldon’s mother, a role played on The Big Bang Theory by Laurie Metcalf. This is excellent casting since Perry is Metcalf’s daughter.

Jim Parsons, the adult Sheldon with narrate the series and Jon Favearu  (Iron Man, The Orville) directed the pilot.

CBS is bringing back another classic.

The original series ran from 1975-1976 and starred Steve Forrest, and featured catchy them music by Rhythm Heritage which reached number one on the Billboard charts.

The series inspired a hit movie starring Sam Jackson and Colin Farrell.

Now Shemar Moore (Criminal Minds, Birds of Prey) inherits the role of Hondo, previously played by Forrest and Jackson.
